Lead Pump Mechanic
For over 75 years Cascade Pump Company has been a leader in Low Lift high volume Industrial Water pump Manufacturing. We are looking for an Lead Pump Mechanic to join our team. The Lead Pump Mechanic is responsible for assembling large pumps using pre-made machined and fabricated components. In addition, you will lead your team and make safety, quality of work, and on time delivery a top priority. This is not Aerospace or defense work, and there are no electrical or hydraulic assemblies required.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain Close work relationships with all department leads.
- Work Closely with Plant Manager
- Provide Positive and professional feedback to your team.
- Conduct interviews for replacements/new team members in your department.
- Communicate daily with employees regarding: Safety, Quality, and on time delivery.
- Unloading and loading of pumps, parts, and paint.
- Adapt to changing environment and schedule.
Required Qualifications (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
- Strong Communication Skills
- Strong Mechanical Reasoning
- Able to follow directions
- Knowledge in the safe use of hand tools such as grinders, hand drills, impact wrenches, and mechanical tools.
- Basic Math-Must pass test.
Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications:
- Machine Shop knowledge
- Use of overhead Cranes and knowledge of lifting/rigging methods.
- Ability to read Blueprints and bill of materials
- 7 years of mechanical experience
- Military background encouraged to apply
- Ability to plan and delegate work
- Excellent problem solving
- Computer Literate: Excel (Reading Spreadsheets, and entering data)

Working Environment and Physical Efforts:
Some of the working conditions for this position is in a manufacturing shop environment with exposure to dirt, grease, fumes, cold, heat, noise, dust. The Mechanical Pump Lead will work in both the office and shop environment. Environment is fast paced and demanding most of the time. Incumbent must utilize proper ergonomic safeguards such as monitor height and positions, keyboard location and height and proper wrists rests. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds in working with large files, binders, and computer equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
